How sweet is this nailpolish?

Too bad it’s EIGHTEEN DOLLARS!!

Seriously, I like nail polish,

but who can spend that much money

on a single bottle?

Ever since I had dinner at Lauren Holley’s, I’ve been dying for a pretty dish to cook my chicken in.

Enter this:

sublet clothing beth dress

This pretty dress from sublet clothing is on sale for $79 and would make a great gift/addition to my wardrobe.

If I weren’t saving money for Christmas, you’d better believe that I’d snatch this right up.

I’m on a hunt for those color changing spoons that used to come in cereal boxes (if you find one, let me know), and so I hopped on over to Fred Flare to see if they had anything of that nature.

They didn’t, but they did have these gems:

Fred Flare - Jonathan Adler stripes cup and saucerThis hot Jonathan Adler cup and saucer – I LOVE IT!  – Sold out in every color except yellow, which had only three left at the time of press….

Fred Flare - table saw cake cutterThis Table Saw Cake Cutter is freaking hilarious. I would love to cut my cakes with it!! Plus, it’s only $9!  Sweet.

If anyone wants to make an order, I’m considering placing one next week (like the 16th)… If anyone wants anything, let me know.  If we spend $75, we get free shipping!!     The Japanese Talking Watches are on sale and all the non-sale items are 30% off until then… That includes these sweet items: iKareoke turns your iPod into kareoke, Serendipity Frozen Hot Chocolate, Pride and Prejudice with illustrations by Ruben Toledo (you might notice him from the Nordstrom ads), super cute Polaroid notecards, a Holga, the Indie Rock Coloring Book, and bunches of other fun stuff!!

Yay!

There’s a great sale going on right now.  And some items are much cheaper in store than online.  I bought this top for TEN DOLLARS!!

It’s a little bit big, but ten bucks? Come on. I really want it for layering and I can always take it in if I want it smaller with a simple surge down the sides.

Last night while browsing through old catalogs for inspiration, I came across this purse.

Why did I not buy this when it came out?! I’m sure it eventually went on sale and could’ve become my next purse of my life.  I did find it on ebay, but one day is not enough time to logically weigh out in my mind if I want it.  Plus the pressure makes me want it more and question my thinking capabilities.

This morning, while looking for the aforementioned purse, I came across old Anthro catalogs on ebay. And the one that was shot where I took my bridals.  And I had to have it.

So I splurged. I bought it for eleven dollars (what?! That’s the same price as the shirt!), BUT I justified it since it will forever document that my bridals are equivalent to Anthropologie which makes me feel a hundred times cooler.

And coolness is something that money can’t buy.

*Also to note: PayPal had a deal that if I paid with my bank account, they’d give me $5 back… so once I get that deposit, really, it was only six dollars.

We’re coming up on our Cotton Anniversary!!

Last year, Britt blogged about this bedding that I was eying at Anthropologie and trying to justify buying (even this summer when it went on sale, I couldn’t bear to fork it out).

Instead, I was going to MAKE a similar (maybe) quilt/duvet cover/something for our Cotton Anniversary.  Then I realized how many things I actually want to MAKE for Christmas this year, and how I usually overbook myself (which I think I already have), and then realized how much fabric I would actually need, and decided that I should just break down and buy it.

I’ve decided on the Organic Cotton Pin-Tuck Duvet cover at West Elm (best news = I can use Discover cashback there; I LOVE CASHBACK).

THE PROBLEM: DO I GET IT IN WHITE OR CREAM?!

West Elm Organic Cotton Pin-Tuck Duvet Cover WhiteThis is the white.  Currently, all my bedding except the duvet cover is white. White sheets, *many* white pillowcases… Clearly this seems like the logical choice.  Also, I LOVE the look of a white bed and how peaceful and clean it seems even when my room may be a tad bit messy.

But then I saw this one:

West Elm Organic Cotton Pin-Tuck Duvet Cover CreamAnd thought, maybe cream is the way to go.  But then I would need new sheets/it wouldn’t match, oh and I’d have to buy 8 new pillowcases (and since I’m picky about my pillowcases, they wouldn’ t come cheap).

Our bedroom is going to have a Martin + Osa feel… color scheme = navy + brown + white + warm oranges/yellows/candlelight colors… like a shwanky, rustic cabin resort.  What I imagine Aspen is like.  Or maybe Sundance.   So white OR cream really works.

And so… either convince me that I should stick with white because it’s more economical, and I can buy navy sheets when we get a new bed thus making a super cute navy/white and/or white/white option, or convince me that the cream really does look that much better and who cares if my sheets don’t match for awhile because it REALLY LOOKS THAT GOOD.

At this point, I think I’m on the fence (or maybe leaning towards the white…. or not… or… yeah, I’m probably on the fence).

Jade showed me this couch on Tuesday, and I can’t help but lust after it.

Looks pretty sweet right? Oh just wait. It gets better.

DOC_02

What? It’s transforming?!

DOC_03

What?! Two people can now sleep here?! BALLIN!!

So far as I can tell, it’s made by bonbon trading in the UK, but I think it’s available in the US at Resource Furniture.  I’ve read that it costs anywhere between 4k – 7k, but I have a feeling it will be 7k-9k.

So it looks like I need to get me a piggy bank.

I’ll also be taking donations. ;)

And how it’s the only time of year that I love the air to be crisp and the snow to fall.

And how much I love shopping for presents and shopping in general.

And how much I love to wrap presents (this year’s packaging is going to be SO CUTE!! – last year’s was brown paper packages tied up with string).

And how next week I should try to get a seasonal job at either Anthropologie or Nordstroms or Macy’s or somewhere else that has fabulous clothes/things for me to buy.

And how I LOVE gift catalogs.

And how Nordstrom’s has such a cute gift catalog… which led to me having dress lust for this:

Anthropologie Plaza CardiganDear Santa,

I have a special request. Can you please send me the Plaza Cardigan from Anthropologie? And since I’m really impatient, is there any possibility that you can rush it and get it to me, say, next week? I’ve wanted it for some time now, and now that it comes in red (ok, the site says “purple” but I’m pretty sure when I go try it on today it will be more of a red color), I want it oh-so-much more!!

Just to remind you, I have tried to be REALLY good this year. I started a budget and have been adhering to it quite well. So well, in fact, that last month, I had a $20 surplus!! Unfortunately, $20 won’t get me my sweater.  That’s where you come in.  Additionally, I’ve been making dinner and being nice to my siblings and trying not to cause any ruckus.  I know I can do better at picking up my things so Bradley doesn’t have to, but if I promise to improve at that, will you bring me my Christmas sweater?

Sincerely,

Whitney
