This post is LONG overdue…  In May, little Haley took DC by storm.  And one day, she’ll do Elle Woods proud and show DC what’s up for good.

This little set is the first in a series (completion date unknown).

These business casual looks combine pink, politics, and professionalism with a little bit of playfulness.  You always need a cute pair of comfortable flats, but the heels are for every so often and feeling like you’re in charge!!

keep calmLong story about the tragedy of how it’s going to probably end up costing us $40 to see this movie… but I’m getting SO excited!!

Isn’t this sign the funniest?  I think I’ll be purchasing it for myself soon (and hopefully its original too).

About a month ago, I spent a day looking up information on the Ruby Slipper Collection that was unveiled at Bryant Park Fashion Week last fall.  Back when I hunted down all of these photos, I knew plenty more details concerning the project.  Since I waited forever to post this, many of those details slipped my memory.

However, I do remember that these shoes are going to be auctioned off for charity.  That modern shoe designers were asked to interpret the ruby red slipper for current times.  That the shoes are on tour all over the world. And that at one point there was an official website of some sorts that I ran across.

So, here are the beautiful shoes.  Which ones are your favorites?

What were we doing?

IMG_5022I had just returned from a run (5K on a treadmill… mmm…) and was making dinner (gorgonzola white wine cream sauce – I loved it, Brad did not).

Brad was up to some shennanigans on his laptop – checking emails, Obama-bashers, or APX – safe bets.
